Among these volunteers were a great group of teens from Lecanto High School Key Club and Eagle High 4H Club that we want to give a very special Thank You to, for volunteering their weekend time to Heroes and the Hernando Heritage Council.
The day was filled with fun and laughter for the whole family. There were beautiful crafts, art, a petting zoo for the kids, live band, an auction, raffles, great southern food, and many other activities that filled the day until the cattle came through. Heroes also had Rosa and Maya there to greet people as they came into the school and teach people what the value of an assistance dog is to a person with diabilites. We also had a special guest appearance, Dora, a former Heroes pup, with her person Karen. It was great seeing both of you!
Thank you again to the many smiling faces and we look forward to seeing you at our next event!
We hope you enjoy the pictures of the event! At Heroes we take training assistance dogs for the disabled very seriouly but also have fun while doing it!
